I used to be apart of this club. It was called the conversation club. This club can be found anywhere. It can be found in churches. It can be found in coffee shops. It is very often found in universities. People sometimes take part in the club’s activities on internet forums.
In this club we talk about what we should do or what other people should do. We pride ourselves in setting the standard of what ministry should look like. What Christians and sometimes even non-Christians alike ought to do. 2,000 years ago Paul talked about it as this, “having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.” (2 Timothy 3:5)
This is the club I left. I am done talking about making disciples, and I have been done talking about it.
Last night Sarah and I got off a google hangout meeting with Bob Mudd COO of Adventures, and Stephen Loots. Stephen Loots is man who was done with the conversation club awhile ago. Stephen founded Harvesters International Ministries which has planted over 40,000 churches in 35+ countries.
We are encouraged to partner with Steven. Linking arms with Harvesters, we are committing to see Cambodians make disciples who make disciples who plant churches. There is nothing else within me that I would rather be doing with my life. It is something I am willing to die for. I am done talking about what it should look like and I am desperate to see it happen.
