I was reading Luke's gospel describing the birth of Jesus on this Christmas morning. There are moments when I am reading along in Scripture, and a sentence or two particularly stand out and land with me. This morning it was the response of Mary, the mother of Jesus when the angel told her that she was pregnant. Mary responds, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?"

How many times have I said, "How can this be?"

I remember one time in particular. Sarah and I felt very strongly that God was leading us to move to Cambodia instead of the plan we had mapped out. I felt like Mary, "how could this be?" Needless to say, five years later and we are moving back and God has yet provided again.

Take some time this Christmas to reflect on moments where God has pulled through. Or maybe you are in a time now where you need God to pull through? God will do it, His word is true and He likes you.
